Booking Terms & Conditions

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

Property Terms and Conditions

  1. The Chambre d’hote is known as Les Jonquilles, 79110 Chef-Boutonne, France
  2. Stays are subject to confirmation by the Owner, Karen Cousins, 
  3. Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside the bedrooms or property. A designated smoking area is provided in the courtyard away from the property. 
  4. Occupancy:
    • La chambre Pipit has a maximum occupancy of 3 people
    • La chambre Martinette has a maximum occupancy of 3 people
    • La chambre Suzy has a maximum occupancy of 3 people
  5. The maximum number of people per bedroom includes adults and/or children and babies.
  6. The number and names of Guests must correspond to those submitted on the booking form.
  7. Any changes must be agreed in advance with the Owner and must not exceed the maximum occupancy.
  8. Day Guests must be agreed in advance with the Owner. If the maximum number of Guests is exceeded, the Owner reserve the right to terminate your booking with no refund.
  9. The Lead Guest is responsible for all members of the Guest Party residing at and/or using the facilities Les Jonquilles. The Guest agrees to be considerate to those living near the property and neighbouring properties.
  10. If Guests leave the bedroom in an unacceptable condition or damage is discovered payment will be required.
  11. Use of the bedrooms and all amenities are entirely at the Guest’s own risk. Guest’s personal belongings (including motor vehicles) left in or around the Property are entirely at Guest’s own risk and no responsibility will be accepted by the Owner for any loss or damage thereto.

Booking and Payment

  1. The Lead Guest must be 18 years old or over and is responsible for advising that all Guests in the party are aware of the terms and conditions and are adhered to.
  2. Enquiries to reserve a bedroom can be made by the Lead Guest by email directly to the Owner and via booking websites. Once a reservation enquiry is confirmed as received by the Owner, the Lead Guest must complete and sign the booking form, acceptance of Terms and Conditions and return the same together with full payment due for the Guest’s stay. This is in order to reserve the room. The Owner will send a confirmation email/message to the Lead Guest confirming the reservation. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.
  3. The booking is only guaranteed on receipt of the payment, signed booking form and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. This deposit should be paid within 24 hours of the booking being made.
  4. A full refund will be paid if the booking is cancelled 7 days prior to arrival.
  5. We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving a reason.

Cancellations

  1. Cancellations made 7 days prior to arrival or in excess of  7 days will receive a full refund.
  2. In the unlikely event that the Owner should need to cancel your booking, your deposit and balance will be refunded in full. Every effort will be made to assist you to secure alternative accommodation.
  3. The Owner will not be liable for any compensation requests should this happen.
  4. Guests must not act in any way which may result in Les Jonquilles insurance becoming void, voidable or cause an increase in premium. Permission to enter the property may be revoked with immediate effect by the Owner, or notice given to the Guests, to curtail the rental period if a Guest/Guests are in serious breach of the terms of this agreement
  5. The Owner shall not be liable to the Guest/Guests for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery appliance in the property or any loss, damage, injury or death that is the result of adverse weather conditions, fire, riot, strikes, war or other matters that are beyond the control of the Owners.
  6. The Owner shall not be liable to the Guests.
  7. Keys must be returned to the us at your departure. A failure to do this will result in a charge of £20 / 25€ per key.
  8. The Room will be inspected on your departure and you may be charged for any damage, breakages or loss incurred. It is advisable therefore, to notify the Owner of any breakages which may occur during your stay so that the Owner can take appropriate action
  9. Please treat the facilities and accommodation with due care so that other Guests may continue to enjoy them.
  10. Complaints or issues raised after departure will not be considered.
  11. We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover eventualities such as cancellation.

Check-In/Out

Check-in time on arrival day is from 16:00 (GMT +1). Check-out time on departure day is 11:00 (GMT +1).

Alterations to arrival and check-out times are by prior arrangement only with the Lead Guest and Owner.

Meals

Breakfast is served between 7am and 10am inclusive. Times can be changed for those Guests requiring an earlier checkout time and breakfast.

Evening meals will consist of a three course menu and will be served at the Owner’s table at approximatey 7.30pm.

Guests requiring an evening meal should inform the Owner 24 hours  in advance.

Guests requiring a picnic should inform the Owner 24 hours in advance.

No responsibility can be accepted if food contains any known allergens.

Utilities

All bedrooms are  supplied with water, electricity, heating and a WIFI connection. Any disruption to these services is out of the control of the Owner. Every effort will be made to restore these services ASAP.

Please be mindful and considerate of your electricity and water usage during your stay.

Bed linen and Towels

Bed linen and towels are included. 

For stays of 5 nights or more, bed linen and towels will be changed.

Bed linen and towels will only be provided for those Guests listed on the booking form and during the rental period.

The use of sunblock, high factor sun cream and one application sun cream such as P20 can stain white bed linen and towels . Similarly, tanning products, acne cream and makeup can also stain. These yellow stains are not visible until after washing. Please be mindful to remove these products before using towels and bed linen.

Please discuss bringing your own towels and bedding if staining is unavoidable in your circumstances.

Pets

Dogs are accepted only with the Owner’s prior permission and will incur a charge of £10 / 15€ per dog, per night. The only exception to this being guide dogs, hearing dogs and other assistance dogs.

Taxe de Séjour

The Owners are obliged to collect Taxe de Séjour on behalf of the local Tourist Office. This payment is 1€ per adult (any person aged 18 or over) per night and is included in the total rental amount.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
