Les Jonquilles is situated in the heart of Chef-Boutonne, in the beautiful Deux-Sèvres region of Western France. Just an hour’s drive from Poitiers airport, the town has a rich heritage and a gentle pace of life. The quiet country lanes and Romanesque architecture invite you to slow down and explore. Chef-Boutonne is full of stories from days gone by and offers visitors a warm, authentic French welcome.

Everything you need is close at hand – three restaurants, three bars, two boulangeries, a chocolate shop, and a lively Saturday morning market. There’s also Galerie 16, where you can enjoy local art and weekly talks, as well as a cinema and an open-air swimming pool. It’s a place where you can stroll out after breakfast, browse the market, or enjoy a relaxed evening meal. Chef-Boutonne is also home to the renowned Château de Javarzay. The chateau’s beautiful grounds and fishing lake provide a perfect place to picnic, as well as a scenic stop for cyclists as the Velo 93 cycle route passes through the  grounds. Our Accommodation

Les Jonquilles means ‘daffodils’ in French, so we have named each room after a different variety of daffodil. Keeping with this theme, the doors feature artwork depicting the daffodil associated with the room name. The property has three beautiful en-suite double bedrooms; two with a seating area overlooking the pretty courtyard garden, while the third double bedroom overlooks the quiet street and the church opposite. This room has space for an extra single bed, a cot or a seating area. It also includes its own hallway and private bathroom. 

All three rooms can be booked individually or collectively if you are a group or family travelling together. We can accommodate up to nine adults plus a cot. All rooms include complimentary tea and coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi, room slippers and toiletries. During the warmer months, guests can relax and enjoy a continental breakfast in the sunny courtyard. At other times, breakfast is served in the dining room where evening meals are also available for an additional charge.
